Hands on Macro

My first ever attempt on macro shots.
It is with the Reverse Ring Converter that I fixed to the regular kit lens - EF 18-55 mm.
It really does wonders - it was completely amazing to see through a so-called macro lens. But it was not that easy to find the subject or the focus, or even to keep the focus intact till I clicked the frame. NO. A very small, minor shake made tremendous blur and out-of-focus crappy shots.
After several crappy shots, I got a few decent ones. The fall colors.

The leaf with a bit of natural light behind it, made this shot, letting me "see through" it, its network.

Those are not natural shots, though they are real leaves in natural light. Confusing right?
California, Bay Area, is not so popular for fall foliage and the nearest location to see fall foliage would be Oregon or San Diego, which is no where in our agenda, right now.
So I collected a handful of leaves of yellow and red, and set them on a plant pot filled with soil only, placed them in a place with good amount of light- not direct though, and clicked them. I dint get the exact steady hands that I wanted -so, I set them on a table and here it goes. I got a few better ones.
Just that day I had also received my new EF 50 mm F/1.8 , so thought would play with it too. And here is one good shot from it.

Wish to capture the beauty of fall Al Naturale, some day with my third eye.
